upcoming ETSY-ing... trial photo-shoot w jorgebnyc
Okay... EXPLANATION:
I'm starting an ETSY.com SHOP...and these are some of the products I will be selling. I've asked my uncle to help me out by being the official photographer and so we did a test-run last night. I need to figure out what background works best, do they look good with the ball of jute? does it look too "tacky"/homemade with my hand in the pic? I need to choose which work better and then edit them and put them on the ETSY.page with each listed item. I also need more detail shots: like the inside of the headband, zooms on the beadwork and on the specific words shown... Commments, reccommendations...CRITIQUEs!!! please and thank you!

These headbands are sooo pretty!! ^_^
ReplyDeleteSince you want some comments regarding the backgrounds/photography, here's mine.
I think the bright blue is the best one. The red background doesn't help on making the headbands standout. In the first picture (groupshot - bg A) the red from the bg combines with the red of 'flowers' in the headbands. It almost forces eyes to focus to hard on separating these.
Between the black bg and de the blue one, blue look really pretty and mixes well with the other colors. However, I think that the way you grouped the headbands in the third group (group shot - bg C) looks better than how you did on group B. Soooo, how about color B grouped as in C.
Regarding the pictures of with the yarn(?) ball, do not stick one end of the headband to it! The pictures where the headband leans against it look much better. Also, you want to the whole thing, not just one half of it.
No hand. Please. :)
More in action shots would be awesome. Since you have you uncle to take the pics, go outside on a bright day and wear your pieces. I think those pictures would be really nice.
The first two pictures in the blog post are really pretty.
Hope that was helpful.
Keep smiling. :)
